Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Kayt, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Kayt provides a mobile and web-based travel expense tracking platform that includes:

• Personal and group travel expense management
• Multi-currency support and exchange rate conversion
• AI-powered receipt scanning and categorization
• Trip planning and itinerary tools
• Expense splitting and settlement between users
• Travel analytics and budget reporting
• B2B organization management (Enterprise plans)

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at kayttrip@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Plans

Kayt offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (Nomad and Enterprise). Current pricing is available on our Pricing page. Prices are listed in USD and may vary by region.

4.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.3 In-App Purchases

Premium features and subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those platforms' respective purchase and refund policies. Kayt cannot override these platform policies.

4.4 Free Trial

If you start a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel before the trial ends without any charge. After the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless cancelled.

4.5 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or your platform account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. For annual subscriptions cancelled within 7 days of purchase, you may request a full refund by contacting us at kayttrip@gmail.com. Monthly subscriptions are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Kayt for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights
• Share your account credentials with others (except as permitted under family or team plans)

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create within Kayt (expense data, trip details, receipt images). By using the service, you grant Kayt a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process this content solely to provide the service to you.

We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your personal data. We will not share or monetize your content for advertising or any purpose outside of service provision.

7. AI Features

Kayt uses AI to power receipt scanning, expense categorization, and trip planning suggestions. These AI features are provided on an "as-is" basis. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it. Kayt is not liable for errors in AI-generated recommendations.

8. Intellectual Property

The Kayt name, logo, app design, and all related software are the exclusive property of Kayt Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our brand assets without prior written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Kayt integrates with third-party services (maps, weather, currency rates, UNESCO data). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

Kayt is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Currency rates and financial data are provided for informational purposes only and should not be used for official financial reporting.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kayt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of profits, or financial losses resulting from reliance on our expense or budget data. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kayt from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases. Data deletion is handled per our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Kayt Inc. is incorporated. Any disputes shall be resolved by competent courts in that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Kayt after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
